“The band directors at Northwest were a HUGE reason that I pursued music as a profession!”- Emma Wymer

“Go Mounties!! Love watching our awesome drumline!!”- Holly Swartz

Mountie Drumline

The sound of distant drums signals the beginning of the fall at Northwest Schools.

The Mountie Drumline (part of the Marching Mounties) is an integral part of the community feeling on Friday night football games. This group of students is widely respected by their peers in the state as one of the top drumlines.

These students work as a group 10 months out of the year and their scores at Festivals demonstrates their diligence and hard work.

The drumline’s current equipment is 14 years old and has been used by 100s of students during those years. They’ve lasted through the blistering heat of band camp, the pouring rain of a football game, and the snowfall of the Holiday Parade. It is currently costing more to replace parts of our old drums than it would to upgrade to this new equipment.
